2LEARN.org.uk ltd may seem a fairly new organisation, the question is: Is it new?
The founders of the organisation have been involved in community and business development via offering: technical support, design & set up of ICT centres in Schools & Community Organisations, providing & setting up of I.T equipment at student accommodations to allow students to have access to resources after hours, providing advice in health & safety issues, advice & guidance, business & education consultancy, international integration, community cohesion, engaging with the Islamic world, since 1993. It all began during their student life when fellow students and the local communities began knocking on their door to access their knowledge of I.T.
Through gaining experience by working for various blue chip organisations & liaising with various different countries and cultures, in year 2000 the company mobileTALK.co.uk ltd was found by two former students. The company delivered mobile telecommunication products and guidance to the residential and business sector. Through observation it was discovered that clients and community centres preferred to access professional services such as information technology, through mobileTALK.co.uk ltd, which delivered these valuable services as in kind contributions to help develop communities.
Due to the increase of educational and community activities a 'not for profit' organisation was formed through loans and in-kind contributions in April 2004. In December 2004 the organisation LEARN.org.uk became a limited by guarantee organisation and opened two centres (one in Dewsbury, W Yorkshire, UK and the other being in Alexandria, Egypt) and created a partnership with an orphanage in the state of Gujarat, India.
Over the years, credit due to the founders motivations and ambitions the organisation has grown to participate in local and international community education, building bridges with educational and community establishments around the globe. Learning from various countries of how knowledge can be exchanged and implemented to deliver success especially to 'hard to reach' communities. Engaging with other communities around the globe to bring development, integration, awareness of cultural diversity and knowledge to communities of the UK is a key initiative the organisation wishes to achieve by working at grass root level.
In early 2005 the organisation offered further educational developments by delivering accredited learning with national recognition.
